I had actually planned to go right after the New Year, but I was so busy that I didn't have time...
Although it was a little late, I finally went to see a movie on my day off.
It's been a while since I last saw a movie in a theater.
There were also a few third-wave men with knit caps, glasses and beards who looked like they were reading Kajikaji.
It felt like a very typical movie.
A FILM ABOUT COFFEE
New York, San Francisco, Portland, and Tokyo.
A documentary depicting the current state of coffee culture sweeping the worldCoffee has become an indispensable part of our lives. How does that red bean turn into a cup of coffee that wakes you up? From production, bean selection, refining, roasting, and brewing... This beautiful film depicts the long-awaited adventure of coffee beans, which we don't usually see, from seed to cup. (Excerpt from the introduction)
Not only the movie but also the pamphlet carefully explained the process of making a cup of coffee, which was very informative. It was like an instruction manual.
I know this intellectually, but when I see it on video, I realize once again just how long the journey of coffee is before it reaches my hand in a cup.
I think this film will have a lot of insight for not only coffee shop owners like us, but the general public as well, and will change the way they feel about coffee after watching it.
From the wife's perspective...
This isn't limited to coffee, but I thought it would be good to cherish the taste and feeling of any product in our daily lives, no matter how small, and to think about the thought and passion of the maker behind it.
It's like praying to the farmers before a meal.
I realized that having a cup of coffee delivered to my hands is not something to be taken for granted, but something special.
We hope to be mindful of this and do our work carefully.
In Osaka, the film is currently being screened at Cine Libre Umeda in Umeda Sky Building.
The film will be screened in Kyoto from February 2th and in Hyogo from February 6th.
