Q. I've seen the name "Showa-cho Blend" in other stores. Is it a Usagi to Boku product?
A. "Showa-cho Blend®︎" is the original blend name that our store "Usagi to Boku" has registered as a trademark.
Some of our wholesale stores use our beans and officially sell them under the name "Showa-cho Blend®︎."
However, in recent years, we have seen cases where the same name is being used by businesses that are unrelated to ours.
To avoid any misunderstandings, please check with the seller whether the beans are roasted by "Usagi to Boku" before purchasing.

Q. Are there any values that your store holds dear?
A. Yes. We place the utmost importance on providing our customers with time and space to quietly reflect on themselves. We believe that this time should be offered equally to all customers, regardless of age, gender, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity (as an LGBTQ+ friendly establishment). "Usagi to Boku" aims to remain a safe and inclusive "safe space" where everyone can be themselves.
Q: What kind of place is Abeno Showa-cho?
A: Showa-cho is a town that is somehow nostalgic and somehow new, with a mix of old-fashioned shopping streets and privately run shops in renovated row houses. Local events such as "Showa Town by Local" are held at Nagaike Park, so I think it's an area that can be enjoyed not only by locals but also by people visiting from afar.
Q. What kind of building is a "nagaya"?
A. It is a traditional Japanese housing complex with multiple residences connected together. Our restaurant is a renovated tenement house that is over 90 years old (built in XNUMX), and you can spend an extraordinary time in a tasteful space that makes use of the original beams and pillars.
Q. Is there anything that you consider important in your relationships with the local community?
A. Yes. As a member of the Abeno-Showacho area, we support the "by local" movement (by local in Showa Town), which aims to revitalize the area by encouraging local residents to know and actively use good local shops. We would like to connect the charm of this town to the future by posting local recommendations on our blog and cooperating with neighboring shops. We also work with local volunteers to protect cats.
