The other day I visited a curry restaurant called Magari Datta in Minamitanabe.
The additional seaweed art makes it instantly more photogenic. I couldn't help but take a picture and post it on Instagram.
In fact, I immediately posted it on Instagram. Half of the reason I visited the shop was to see the seaweed art.

If you look on Instagram, you'll see many people posting similar photos of curry taken from above.
I don't think the shop has an Instagram account... But many people check in and post photos using hashtags. If you search, you'll find lots of photos.
All of these were posted by Magalidatta's customers. It's amazing how everyone is promoting them.
Usagi to Boku is sometimes introduced as a photogenic shop.
There are also nearby shops such as Goldfish Cafe.
In our case, many customers upload photos of the interior, latte art, and curry.
An article that was compiled the other day.

This is not just about having photogenic interiors and menus because it will attract more customers... What's important is that lots of people are spreading the word about your restaurant. The menu acts as a device and system. That's what I think.
It will help attract customers, but the important thing is to spread the word.
While photogenic menu items are a convenient gimmick, they don't necessarily have to be particularly photogenic.
If only there was a way for other people to spread the word...
This also applies to stores that have face-out panels or easy-to-find photo spots.
This includes preparing check-in spots and providing easy-to-understand hashtags and shareable descriptions.
If it's difficult to create an elaborate menu, you can just stick flags with your store's name on them.
As more and more people start using social media, it seems like business posts are gradually getting buried.
It seems like it's becoming harder for new stores to gain followers than when we first started on Facebook...
We're not influencers, so our influence isn't that great.
Communication with customers alone is not enough information.
Given the current situation, I feel like things will get even more difficult from now on unless I increase the number of posts by relying not only on my own store but also on other people's posts.
I was reminded of this again while looking at Magalidatta's photographs.
