I use the timer on my smartphone and leave it alone. I can do other things, and the taste doesn't change much even if the time changes a little.
It will likely come in handy during the busy period leading up to the new fiscal year.

In stores they sell drip bags that you place on a cup and pour hot water into, so it looks like it will only be available for purchase by advance order or through the online shop...
