The fax machine used in the store(A combination of copier, scanner, printer and fax).
It was originally for personal use, so it's been quite a few years since I bought it, but the printer part broke down.

Copying is not done frequently and it doesn't seem to cost much even at convenience stores.
Although the image quality for scanning is inferior, I have an iPhone, so I might as well use it to send faxes as well...
So I decided to just buy a compact printer and get rid of the fax machine.

I use iPhone or iPad for all my non-design work.
Operations such as ordering are also paperless.
Thanks to this, I feel like my surroundings and my mood have become clearer.

I used to write my blog on my computer, but now I post it on my iPad.
The times are changing every moment.

Now then…

It's been about five years since Usagi and I started using social media.

We are also conscious of gradually changing the way our store interacts with social media.
It's not something that can be seen in a tangible form, and it also includes things that you experience while running your store on a daily basis, but recently I have the strong impression that the group of people who have influence over attracting customers has expanded to include ordinary users.

When we first started the restaurant, many of our customers came from seeing our posts, magazines, Tabelog, or posts by influential bloggers, but gradually, I think we're seeing more and more customers coming from seeing their friends' posts.

One reason is that the store's recognition has increased over the past four years, but the main reason is that each individual store has become more influential.
I think that the influence of social networking sites like Facebook and Instagram has made online communication and posting commonplace.

One hundred million people active, all media.
That's exactly the situation...

I feel like this is already happening, but I think that from now on, the influence of information from friends will become increasingly greater than that of information from magazines or sites like Tabelog that contain reviews from people you don't know.

It's already happening to me too.
It means going to a new restaurant after seeing a friend's post on Facebook.

Although the basic methodology for using social media hasn't changed much, the environment itself has changed significantly over the past three to four years.
I think things will probably continue to change at an even faster pace in the future, and I think we need to change the way we approach things to keep up with that.

That's what I think.

Personally, I find this topic so much fun that I could chat about it forever.
It's an exciting world we live in.
