Coffee beans roasted after you order
Usagi to Boku does not roast coffee beans ahead of time. We roast after your order comes in and ship on the day of roasting. It takes 2–3 business days from order to shipping (we do not roast or ship on Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

About our coffee beans
- Always more than 20 kinds: blends such as Showacho Blend® and single origins
- 200g (weight before roasting). Roasting removes moisture, making the beans 15–20% lighter, about 170g
- Choose whole beans or a grind size (for paper filters and siphons, espresso, cold brew, French press and more; also unroasted green beans)
- Online, 200g costs ¥1,060–¥1,700 (tax included)
For the list of beans and shop prices, see our coffee beans page; for the online list, see the online product list.
Frequently asked questions
Q. When are the beans roasted?
A. We roast within 2–3 business days of your order and ship them the same day.
Q. What happens if I order baked sweets too?
A. Items that include baked sweets from welfare workshops also ship within 2–3 business days if they are in stock. If they are out of stock, they ship on Thursday, when the workshops deliver to us.
Q. When is the best time to drink them?
A. Coffee is at its best 2–3 days after roasting. Avoid heat and humidity and store it in a cool, dark place. If it will take you a while to finish, we recommend freezing it in a zip bag or similar to protect it from frost and odors.
