If Usagi and I had one message to say to new members of the workforce, it would be something like this in 2017...

I'm sure many people will be starting a new life in April.

It's still a little chilly and not particularly warm, and I work in a job that has nothing to do with the change of fiscal year, so personally I'm not feeling the excitement of spring yet...

April from today.

I'm sure there are many people who are excited and nervous about starting a new life, such as getting a job or starting school.

You're nervous about your new work environment, living environment, and relationships. Your diet is changing, you're not getting enough exercise due to desk work, and stress and fatigue are building up without you even realizing it. Then Golden Week comes along and you feel drained and exhausted. You feel lethargic and depressed. And then, once the long weekend is over, you can't go to work, and you're heading into an even longer holiday...

A common pattern.
With the long holiday season this year, there may be a few more people who follow the owner's fantasy.

Everyone has adjustment disorders, to varying degrees.

The so-called May sickness and depression...

This is a dark topic at a time when I'm feeling excited, but it's hard to realize that you're feeling stressed in a new environment.
When you find yourself in a new environment, you will experience some degree of adjustment disorder, and it is natural that fatigue will set in later on.

Instead of assuming that you're fine, it's better to think, "I guess this happens to everyone..." as this will make it easier for you to notice when you're not feeling well and deal with it.
I know you feel a strong need to work hard, but try not to push yourself too hard...

It's natural that things won't go well due to lack of preparation.

You may feel anxious about having to build good relationships with people, or what will happen if you fail, but it's impossible to build good relationships in a new environment when you don't know the people around you, and it's normal to fail in a new job. There's no need to worry about it.

It's not a bad thing at all.

To begin with, we're starting out without knowing anything and without being fully prepared... I don't think the people around me have high expectations.
So, if you feel a bit tired, just have a cup of coffee.

There's still a long way to go...

Well, if Usagi and I had anything to say to new members of the workforce this year, it would be something like this.
