Even during business yesterday and the day before, I saw customers who looked like they were attending an entrance ceremony today.
It's the season for new students and new semesters.
Now then…
This is a story about an article I came across while skimming through cafe-related news.
There are some nuisances, such as people who stay for long periods of time even when it's crowded, people who only have a few people ordering in a group, people who use the power outlets without permission, and people who put on makeup inside the store, so there's a risk that soon all the things will be banned.
Perhaps because Usagi and I is a privately owned store, we don't have many customers.
The only rule at my restaurant is "be considerate of those around you." This may include everything mentioned in the article, but I don't really like setting detailed prohibitions.
The reason for the limit of five people or more is that it would no longer be an environment where people could be conscious of those around them.
It's like, let's be considerate of each other and everyone should be in a good mood.
It's something I've written about a few times on my blog.
Even if we are having trouble as a store, I think it's generally okay as long as we make an effort to let them know. Well, there are cases where they feel uncomfortable when we talk to them and don't come back, but I think that just means they weren't a good fit for us.
There is an atmosphere that we want to maintain as a store, and we ask our customers to be considerate of us as well, so it is our responsibility as a store to make sure that it is maintained.
If the store isn't doing as well as we'd like, I think it's just because we haven't been able to fully express or communicate our thoughts and values.
Perhaps the stores featured in news articles don't convey their feelings, or aren't able to fully communicate them, which is why people think, "It's okay to do this at this store."
That's what I think.
This news made me realize once again that it is important to take the messages coming from stores seriously.
See you soon.
