It's hard to put into words, but here are some important points to keep in mind when running a restaurant...

I changed the POP a little bit.

We have resumed business safely.
It wasn't like I had a relaxing day off, I was pretty busy with work.

Recently, I've been doing a lot of work that requires careful consideration, such as design, so there haven't been many visible changes, but I hope to be able to complete the tasks that have piled up one by one.

Now, here's a story that seems easy to understand but actually isn't.

While my husband and I were having dinner, we watched a recording of The Palace of Cambria.

This is the story of a company president who runs a tourism business in a depopulated town in Kagoshima.

The inn he runs is a mountain inn, a reconstructed old house resembling a satoyama (village woodland). On the mountain path leading to the inn, surrounded by greenery, there was a wooden sign on the side of the road with the words "From here, chickens have priority" written in calligraphy.

At that moment, both my husband and I thought, "Yes, that's it."
This person really understands what should be done within our own worldview.

It's not particularly practical, but it makes a huge difference whether you have it or not.

It's hard to put into words, but...
I think it will change the way you spend your time and how you feel at the inn afterwards.

So it's not that we should just write "Rabbits are priority" in our store, but rather how we create a "comfortable feeling" that is unique to our store.

When we go to other stores, we get the feeling that "this is good" or "this is different," even if it's not something specific.
Often the decision is made unconsciously.

I also changed the POP at the beginning because I thought it didn't really suit our style.
If we look objectively, we find that there are quite a few such places in our store.

I hope I can pinpoint this sense of incongruity and create something that really hits home.
This is an ongoing issue.

The most important points are in places that are hard to see or put into words.
This is a major element in creating our store.

I think this is important not only in our company, but in any job.

Even though I've written it to the end, I still don't feel like I've been able to get my point across at all...

That's the story.
