I returned to Osaka from Matsumoto and started preparing for work yesterday.
There's a lot more to do than I expected, such as shopping, going to the post office, city hall, tax office, home improvement store, cleaning the roaster, cleaning the shop, creating POPs, roasting, etc.
I also plan to start using the AirREGI that arrived last year this year.
Today I'm doing some carpentry work around the cash register using the wood I bought this morning. As always, it's a job I'm not very good at. I try to cut the wood with the saw, but no matter how much I push or pull, it doesn't move at all. I end up with several cuts. In the end, the wood is covered in scratches.
After that, my hands got sticky with glue, the nails got crooked, and I hit my thumb with the hammer, but the work was completed successfully.
However, for some reason the drawer part of the register is not resting on the shelf and is in danger of falling, so I'll go back to the hardware store tomorrow. I'm feeling a bit uneasy, thinking, "Even though I'm sure I measured it carefully, strange things can happen..."
I've finished setting up the machine, but it will probably take some time to get used to interacting with customers.
My wife is especially not good at operating machines, so I hope you will keep a kind eye on her.
Starting something new can be nerve-wracking, so it looks like I'll be starting work with more excitement than necessary.
