Yesterday, I announced an event that Usagi and I will be participating in.
Although I have introduced many other events on my blog, it has been a really long time since our store has been involved with other stores.
Also, this time we will not be involved in sales, which will be a first for the store.
Up until now, we've been able to express ourselves by paying attention to every detail, but now we have to leave it up to others, so we're feeling quite nervous and anxious...
But I also think that I'll have to get used to it from now on.
The shop doesn't really think of itself as "selling coffee," but rather as coffee being part of the experience inside the shop.
The rabbit objects, fixtures, background music, and interior design in the store are all made up of the same elements, and all of these things come together to form the overall theme of "Usagi and Me."
We hope that by offering takeaway coffee beans, drip bags, baked goods, etc., customers will be able to experience that "Usaboku feeling" outside of the store, and that they will share it with others.
Is that how it is positioned?
Setting up a stall at an event is like "bringing out the Usaboku feel," while consigning sales is like "cutting out the Usaboku feel."
So it's not just about selling products. It's a difficult expression to understand, but...
In either case, I think we need to break down the elements of the store and reflect them in the details so that customers can still feel the atmosphere of the store when they leave.
It's hard to put into words and it's hard to see with the eyes.
How can we communicate the non-material value of the items we have cut out from the store? No matter where you cut it, it should look like Usagi and me.
It may not be something you think about too deeply, but... it's a difficult problem to think about.
