We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
I was thinking that it had suddenly gotten cold, but it's so hot that we have to turn on the air conditioning during the day. It's hot enough to make you sweat, but as soon as the air conditioning is turned on, the shop owner's joints start to hurt. It's a difficult situation.

So today, I had the drink in the photo for the first time in a while. Long-time customers might think, "Now that I think of it, this brings back memories."

This is a story about a drink that existed before Fukyouwaon was even born. It's not a past tense thing, and it was always made, but it was never on the menu, so by spring, customers had forgotten about it, and so had the owner.
So, there were no orders last winter. Even the owner had forgotten about it. It was the same as not existing. I realized that I should have communicated this properly.

By the way, this was the menu.

Recommended for moms who are prone to feeling cold. A sweet and warm ginger drink with lemon slices floating in it.
Mama Lemon (tentative)

In ordinary cafes, this drink would be called lemon ginger or something in English.
I don't remember exactly, but it seems the name ended with (temporary). It was quite a silly name... I guess they thought that if there was a "me", there would naturally be a "mama" as well.

So, as I was writing this, I realized, "In the first place, there's no way I'd want to drink a menu item with a name like that."
Just because you tell them, it's a completely different story whether they'll want to drink it or not. (But at the time, I was getting orders from time to time.)

You can drink it this winter too...

If someone were to order "Mama Lemon (tentative name) please," I might laugh a little. Please understand that.
