Introduction
Usagi to Boku will not be exhibiting at this year's BuyLocal, but...
I've only participated twice so far: once during the daytime event in the year it was held at Nagaike Park, and the first time it was held at night. My name has been included in the pamphlet for both events.
Although we are not exhibiting this year, it's being held in our neighborhood, and more importantly, it's a movement that we ourselves find wonderful, so please allow us to introduce it as a shop.
Official announcements are mainly made on Instagram, and it continues to have an atmosphere of being known only to a select few. However, I believe this is a way of thinking that can enrich your life once you learn about it, so I wanted to properly share it on our website as well.
What is BuyLocal?
It started in an area that is easily accessible by bicycle, stretching from the southern part of Abeno Ward to the western part of Higashisumiyoshi Ward.
What is displayed is"To protect and nurture good business practices"That's the way of thinking.
It's about consciously choosing your favorite shops on a daily basis, rather than just picking them randomly, and continuing to use them with care.
These small, consistent efforts will foster things like food safety, childcare, the preservation of historical buildings, and mutual support within the community—this is a story about community development with a long-term perspective.
The annual "Buy Local Day" is an open-air market held at Nagaike Park, where many shops gather. But the real star of Buy Local isn't that day, but the remaining 364 days of the year.
I learned about the shop on the day itself, and since then, I've been going to my usual shops and new shops I've discovered every day."365 days of living a local life"I think that phrase perfectly expresses it.
For small, independent businesses like ours, it's truly wonderful to see money and goodwill circulating within the community in this way.

This is a popular event, and it takes place during the daytime on weekdays.
Some stores sell out early in the day, depending on the year, so if there's a store you're interested in, it's best to go there early.
There are more and more shops I don't know about...
Summary
The great thing about Buy Local is that it doesn't just end as a "special day."
We discover a shop on the day we visit, and then we go back to see it again every day afterward. This repetition is what gradually helps to make this town a better place for us to live.
My rabbit and I also want to be one of those houses that operates for 364 days.
If you happen to come across something delicious or wonderful while walking around Nagaike Park on the day of the event, please be sure to remember that shop. And then, on another ordinary day, feel free to drop by again.
Okay.
