The Cream of the Crop Coffee, a place I remember very well
I wrote about my sister-in-law's wedding, but now that I think about it, I haven't written much about the coffee event (SCAJ) in Tokyo or the coffee shop I went to. I had a fever the whole time I went to Tokyo, so maybe that's why I was so absent-minded...
So, let's talk about coffee shops...
I wandered around the Kiyosumi Shirakawa area, an up-and-coming area in Tokyo. I took a peek at the construction site of Blue Bottle Coffee, which will open in February next year, and said,ARIZE COFFEE ROASTER""ALL PRESS ESPRESSO" and "The Cream of the Crop Coffee." Cream of the Crop Coffee also had a store in Shibuya Hikarie the next day.
It's been almost a month now, so I've completely forgotten the taste of each restaurant (I may have already forgotten it after about two days), but the one that left the strongest impression on me was Cream of the Crop.
You can tell just by looking at it. When I spoke to the roaster, he told me that they call it the "dog coffee shop." Even the owner, who isn't a dog lover, gets excited when he sees the original items such as drippers and mugs.
They weren't for sale, but I really wanted the coffee beans in the bottle in the photo. I even thought, "I don't need the coffee beans anymore, I just want the bottle..." It really grabs my heart every now and then...
The back of the package is a doghouse... I was shot in the chest.
When I saw this, I couldn't help but say, "Wow..." There's a playful touch even in something you might not think of paying much attention to, like the back of a coffee bean bag... It's like they're saying with a smug look, "You like this kind of thing, don't you?" I get it... this shop. It's inspiring, and there are plenty of things I want to quote.
As my husband and I reflected on the past, we realized that these kinds of things are important for our family as well.
This store was the one that best suited what we had in mind, including the visual elements.
I once again realized that I would like to gradually expand the project while keeping the overall image in mind.
