The original intent behind the product has been preserved in the renewal
"Coffee Shop Baked Donuts" were produced by Ogari Workshop, a facility for people with disabilities located in Sumiyoshi Higashi.
It has now been renovated and reborn as "Usado" (a cute baked donut in the shape of a rabbit).
It's hard to believe that it's already been 11 years since we created the donut recipe with the cooperation of the NPO Together and under the supervision of a pastry chef.
I wonder how many donuts I've had made so far...
Even before COVID-19, my husband and I had been talking about wanting to make it in the shape of a rabbit, and it was only this year that it finally took shape.
Just like the round baked donuts, there are two flavors: maple vanilla, which contains rich maple sugar, and coffee, which is made with specialty coffee roasted by Usagi and me. After the renewal, both flavors will be included in one bag.
Although the contribution that the store can make is small, we hope that by making it easier for customers to purchase, we can increase sales at the workshop even a little.
Not only can you eat and drink in the restaurant, but you can also buy it as a souvenir to commemorate your visit or as a gift for a special person.
